Vivo NEX Listed on Vivo India Store, Available for Pre-Orders at Rs.1,000 Ahead of Launch Tomorrow

Vivo is set to launch its latest flagship Android smartphone, the NEX in India tomorrow. Even though the company hasn’t formally launched the smartphone in India, it has been listed online on the Vivo India store. While you cannot order the NEX just yet, you can sign up for the early access offers.

Vivo NEX: Listed on Vivo India Store Ahead of Launch

In order to get hold of the early access deal, you will need to pay Rs.1,000 using any prepaid payment method on the Vivo India store. Once you make the payment, you will receive a Rs.1,000 coupon for the Vivo NEX in your email. The coupon can be redeemed when you purchase a Vivo NEX between 19^th July 1 PM and 21^st July 11:59 PM. If you sign up to the early access deal, you will receive a free gift bundle worth Rs.3,900 from Vivo, along with 6 months extended warranty on the product.

Vivo NEX: Specifications, Features

The Vivo NEX features a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED Ultra FullView display with 1080 x 2316 Full HD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint sensor, 19.3:9 aspect ratio, and a 91.24% screen-to-body ratio. Running under the hood is an octa-core 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset clocked at 2.7 GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU. The variant being launched in India comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. However, it should be noted that the Vivo NEX does not support memory expansion.

In the camera department, Vivo NEX has a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup with 4-axis optical image stabilization and 4K video recording. For selfies, the Vivo NEX comes with an 8MP pop-up selfie camera module coupled with an f/2.0 aperture. Whenever you need to use the front camera, the module elevates in just a second. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, USB Type-C, and 4G VoLTE. The Vivo NEX packs a large 4000mAh capacity battery with fast charging technology, so you will not have any complaints from it as far as battery life is concerned. Vivo NEX includes a dedicated AI button as well with access to AI services like Google Lens, Google Assistant, and the smartphone’s AI Engine. The smartphone measures 162 x 77 x 8mm and weighs in at 199 grams. On the software front, Vivo NEX will ship with the Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0 out of the box.

The Vivo NEX will be priced at Rs.48,990 in India and will be available exclusively via Amazon.in online.
